We got a whopper! We’ve been working hard on a BIG update for the Nord Stage 3 Cover Band Collection, and it’s finally here.

UPDATE NOTES

  • New song-specific programs: Blurred Lines, Rich Girl, BYT, California Love, Call Me Maybe, Low, Hot In Here, Locked Out Of Heaven, and many more.

    Bringing the total files to:

  • 530 files total

    1. 375 program files 

    2. 5 general “live use” program files

    3. 150 synth presets

  • New Synth Presets! Song-specific synth presets for every single sample in the Cover Band Collection. Quickly scroll through 150 song-specific synth presets to build your own unique programs.

  • All synth presets have tagged category metadata, allowing you to search by category quickly.

  • New Live Set Section. Quick access to grand pianos, uprights, EPs, organs, and more.

  • New custom sample for Call Me Maybe

  • Balanced levels across all 380 programs. Mixed to peak between a 10 DB range when playing the specific part in the song.

  • More headroom on each instrument. Never run out of volume to make something louder.

  • Updated levels and patches across all “Fly Date” patches

  • Streamlined archive file for quicker install

  • Uniform Extern Section mappings across all programs

  • Slight boost on Panel B for all jazz standard songs, for soloing without adjusting levels

  • New optimized settings for midi control of external instruments (available only in archive file installation) 

  • Reduced sample size for quicker loading, and taking up less storage memory.

  • Several inconsistencies fixed across patches:

    1. All unused sample slots have brass on panel B
    2. Mod wheel now controls all program files correctly
    3. Morph assign is now limited to organ and cutoff in sample section.
    4. It is now possible to use the “program level” to adjust the overall level of the entire program with no lost volume mappings. 
    5. There are no unused samples in each program. They are either a duplicate of panel A, or supplemental sounds like brass, strings, etc. 
    6. Mod wheel now only controls cutoff sweeps, and do not affect synth volume level. This makes it much faster to quickly sub in new synth presets.
