Introducing the D-7 Synth Pack.
The era-defining synth of the 80’s, beautifully sampled for Nord keyboards.
DEMOS
It’s hard to overstate how influential the DX7 synthesizer from the 80’s was and continues to be. Featuring a new form of synthesis and in a lightweight body perfect for touring and hauling to sessions, the DX7 synth was an immediate hit and found its way into almost every album with keyboards on it throughout it’s run.
The DX7’s bell-like tones and smooth basses defined the sounds of Michael Jackson, Peter Gabriel, Prince, Cindy Lauper, and many, many more during the late 80’s and early 90’s, and continues to be relevant today.
The Process
• I started by renting a DX7, and spending quite awhile finding the sounds I liked that felt like would transfer well to The Nord in sample form.
• I sampled a bunch of patches, then ran them through effects that were popular during the 80’s, including vintage choruses, reverbs, and delays.
• I chopped all the files up, mapping them for Nord.
Easy to install.
It’s a simple process to get the sounds into your Nord. Watch the video below for more details:
