The Process
I first noticed while playing with a Contemporary Christian artist that most of the churches we played in owned a Nord Stage 3, but were using mostly sounds from a laptop. Most of the keyboardists I talked to complained about their laptops suddenly not working, or other technical difficulties they were constantly battling. I was touring with only a single Nord Stage 3, which surprised many keyboardists. I realized most of what my long-suffering keyboard friends were trying to create, I could make on a Nord Stage 3. So the journey began.
I started by curating the best samples the Nord Stage 3 has to offer, experimenting over 2 years with different combinations.
I then built our own samples, adding pads, synthesizers, and more to fill in the gaps.
I then went back and and meticulously tweaked for another year, testing every patch with artists on the road and at my home church.
The end result was a product that allowed keyboard players to stop worrying about if their laptop would crash (and stay in the moment) while not sacrificing sound quality.

Download the files.
Get Nord’s free Nord Sound Manager software installed on a PC or Mac.
Hook up your Nord Stage 3 via USB cable, launch the Nord Sound Manager, and use the “Restore” option to load all the files.
