If you love the sound of a real Leslie and vintage tone wheel organ, this is the pack you’ve been dreaming of. The Organs Vol. 1 Pack gives you 10 authentic organ samples that are perfect for any genre.
Deep sampled. Or not, your call.
The Organs Vol. 1 Pack has a first for Patch Foundry- we’re providing two sets of samples. We offer the “full version”, which includes 61 individual, time-synced audio files per sample, and a slimmed down “lite” version that only takes up around 4 megabytes per sample, perfect for tight storage requirements. Deep sampling like this took dozens of hours of sampling and testing, but the end result is the most realistic organ tones ever created for Nord Keyboards.
The Process:
We started off with getting one of the top organ techs in the USA to service our organ and rotary speaker, TBS Tonewheels. After a thorough tune-up and partial rebuild of some components, we were ready to start sampling.
Using the “57” technique commonly used by audio professionals, we created a signal chain that started with a SM57 stereo miced cabinet in our recording studio in Nashville. The 57’s are known for creating a direct and cutting sound, and a popular choice on some of our favorite records.
The backend of the signal chain ran into a pair of Universal Audio 610 preamps, an LA-2A Compressor for a slight bump, then finally into an Apollo audio interface.
We then deep sampled every note, meticulously matching rotor speeds as best as possible, and finally exporting the files into the Nord keyboard.
New in version 2.0:
After a lot of great feedback from users, we’ve released a new free update! This version includes:
• Samples of just the tone wheel organ without any rotary speaker effect. This allows you to either use your Nord keyboards’ built in rotary effect, or run it out through either a rotary effect pedal like the Ventilator or even a real Leslie cab.

The Organs Vol. 1 Pack runs great as a standalone pack (meaning you can load it into your Nord keyboard and instantly access the sounds), but it’s also easy to merge the samples with your pre-existing program files. Just remember to click the “save” button when you’re done.
